Algebra I vs. Level 9-12

Ascend Math High School Choices: Level 9-12 or Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II

Level 9-12 is a course which is commonly used for an integrated curriculum. Schools using Ascend for intensive intervention or credit recovery may choose to utilize Level 9-12. Level 9-12 incorporates Algebra I, plus some Geometry and High School Exit math requirements into a single course, typical of what you would find on High School Exit exams. Geometry and Algebra II are still available as separate courses after Level 9-12.

Algebra I - Schools that prefer Algebra I as their curriculum might benefit from Algebra I. The sequence will go from Level 8 to Algebra I, then Algebra II and Geometry in your state’s sequence
